3. Reservations

  • Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person.
  • We may require contact information to confirm your booking.
  • If you need to modify or cancel a reservation, please notify us at least 2 hours in advance.
  • Parties arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may lose their reservation.

4. Food Orders (Dine-in, Collection & Delivery)

  • Menu items, prices, and availability may change without prior notice.
  • Images on the website are for illustration purposes only. Actual dishes may vary.
  • Allergen information is available upon request. Customers must inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies before ordering.
  • We take reasonable care to prepare food safely, but cross-contamination may occur in a busy kitchen.

5. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices listed are in GBP (£), inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • We accept cash, major debit/credit cards, and approved online payment methods.
  • Full payment is required at the time of order for online orders and deposits (if applicable).

6. Alcohol Service Policy

As per UK laws:

  • Alcohol is served only to customers 18 years and older with valid ID.
  • We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone who appears intoxicated or fails to provide age verification.

7. Gift Cards & Promotions

  • Gift cards and vouchers (if offered) are non-refundable.
  • Promotions and discounts cannot be combined unless specified.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw promotions at any time.

8. Refund & Cancellation Policy (UK Restaurant Standard)

This policy is designed in line with common UK restaurant practices and consumer guidelines.

8.1 Dine-In Orders

  • Once food is prepared and served, refunds are generally not provided, except in cases of:
    • Incorrect items served
    • Food quality issues
    • Allergens included despite prior notification
  • Any concerns must be raised immediately with our staff so we can resolve them.

8.2 Collection Orders

Refunds may be offered if:

  • An incorrect item was prepared
  • The food quality is unacceptable based on reasonable standards
  • The order was not ready within a significantly delayed timeframe

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • The customer changes their mind after preparation begins
  • The wrong item was ordered by the customer

8.3 Delivery Orders

For third-party delivery partners (e.g., UberEats, Deliveroo, JustEat):

  • Refunds must be requested via the delivery platform directly, as they process the payment.
  • Spice Cafe & Bar has limited control over third-party refund decisions.

8.4 Event & Large-Order Deposits

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Short-notice cancellations may result in partial or full charges due to preparation costs.

9. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Customers must inform us of any allergies before ordering.

Although we take precautions, we cannot guarantee 100% allergen-free dishes due to cross-contamination risks in a shared kitchen environment.

This approach aligns with UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidelines.

10. Limitation of Liability

Spice Cafe & Bar is not liable for:

  • Losses caused by incorrect information provided by the customer
  • Issues arising from third-party delivery partners
  • Temporary website outages or technical errors

We are responsible only for direct issues resulting from proven negligence.
